Service learning combines volunteer service with academic instruction. In service learning courses, students address the needs of community organizations in a way that allows them to better understand course concepts. This 'win-win' method of instruction develops students' academic skills in the classroom, as well as a sense of civic responsibility and commitment to their community.
The Service Learning program at College of DuPage provides tools, resources and information for students, faculty members and community organizations.
The 2019 Fall Service Learning & Volunteer Fair will be held on Wednesday, September 5 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Student Services Center Atrium. Come and meet our Service Learning partners to discuss volunteer opportunities.
