By Robyn Johnson

College of DuPage total headcount enrollment for spring 2012 is up .5 percent over last year, the third-largest increase since the College moved from quarters to semesters in 2005.

The College's spring 2012 Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) 10th-day enrollment is 14,782, which represents a 1.6 percent decrease over last year. Since 2005, however, the College has increased FTE spring enrollment by a total of 6.6 percent.

"Despite the economic downturn, our enrollment remains solid," said COD President Robert L. Breuder. "We expect an increasing number of students to turn to College of DuPage to take advantage of our beautiful facilities and our unique programing, including the opportunity to earn a bachelor's degree at a significantly reduced cost through our many 3+1 partnerships with area universities."
