College of DuPage Hosts Free Writers Read Open Mic Oct. 30

Students, faculty and staff will share their literary talents during the College of DuPage Writers Read Open Mic from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 30, in the Student Services Center Atrium, on the College’s Glen Ellyn campus, 425 Fawell Blvd.

This event is free and open to the public.

Sponsored by the College’s Creative Writing and Religious Studies programs, and the Liberal Arts Division, the event features participants reading excerpts of their original material, including fiction, nonfiction and poetry.

For 20 years, the Writers Read series has brought dozens of nationally acclaimed writers to College of DuPage, including Stuart Dybek, Amy Newman, Eboo Patel, Scott Russell Sanders, Erica L. Sanchez and Leigh Stein.
