Welcome to the Psychology Program at College of DuPage
Why people do the things they do is a question that has been asked throughout the ages. The field of psychology tries to answer this question through the study of human and animal behavior.
In the College of DuPage Psychology program, students explore a wide range of psychology courses that can lead to a bachelor's degree at a four-year institution, career enhancement or personal fulfillment.
COD offers an Associate in Arts (A.A.) degree for students who are interested in transferring to a four-year institution. Numerous College of DuPage psychology courses are completely transferable, based on Illinois Articulation Initiative (IAI) standards.

“When I first came to COD, I was really scared, because I had been out of school for five years. My intent was to go after my GED because it was a free program and then continue. Even when I had passed my GED with honors and received a scholarship to continue, I was terrified of college courses. I’ve learned that the past doesn’t dictate the future. It’s a part of me, but it doesn’t have to be tomorrow. My hope and goal is to help heal as many people as possible.”Read Spotlight
“I would encourage anyone considering COD to first take a deep look within themselves to find what they truly feel called to do. The next step is talking to an academic advisor. Finally, strategically plan your educational pathway and apply to every scholarship available to you. There are so many resources available at COD, so utilize them and graduate with momentum.”Read Spotlight
